"Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always.” - Brad Meltzer.
So yeah, going back to this quote.. isn't it the realest thing you've ever read?
By being kind to everyone we meet, we can create a more compassionate and supportive world.. the world is so.. nasty sometimes.. actually.. most of the times. I hope everyone gets a chance to sit down and think about this atleast once in their life.. some people are so lost in their own world that they don't see or know that they can be a difference. Being kind to a random stranger highlights the importance of treating others with respect and consideration, recognizing that our gestures of kindness can have a profound impact on someone's day or life, even when we don't realize it.
It's essential to recognize that everyone, in their unique way, carries burdens or inner battles. While some may adeptly conceal their struggles or repress them within their subconscious, rest assured that no one is entirely exempt from facing their share of hardships or issues. This realization fosters empathy and reminds us that compassion and understanding should extend to everyone we encounter, as we are all on our respective journeys of growth and healing.
Off topic but.. why do we work so hard just for someone to take it away from us?
Stealing from people not only makes them lose out on money or property, but it affects them emotionally and psychologically. People can become sad, not understanding why someone would do this, or become paranoid that it might happen again. I won't say I'm the most righteous person on the planet, but I don't hurt people intentionally, I'm not rude to people, I respect authority even if I don't agree with them, and I sure as heck don't steal from people.
But yeah, I guess my little gripe goes back to the quote I posted above. I guess you never know what someone's going through, eh? Still... I don't think that gives them the right to steal. I've had people steal from me, especially when I'm kind enough to lend people money. One incident that will always stick out to me is the time when my parents came to visit me in Houston. They'd only arrived for less than an hour, and boom, someone saws off my dad's catalytic converters from his truck. Guess how much it was to replace them? $7,000, and it was a headache to get the part replaced... - emotional damage -
